Hi mistyben,
That file has really stood the test of time, 20 years is huge! With a setup like this, the “right” move really comes down to what the client wants from here and how attached they are to all that history.
Moving forward with one subscription only sounds like the right move, the best option would be to move the full offline file > online and cancel the current STP-only online file. That means you’ll put the full AccountRight offline file under a new AccountRight online subscription and stop using the “payroll only” online file. Then set up STP reporting on the new full online file and then finalise STP from the old STP-only online file.
And if you have more questions, you’re always welcome to reach out to our team directly so they can talk it through with you.
Cheers,
Princess
Hi Princess - that's all fine and good but if MYOB is going to "disable" local library data files from 17/06 your suggestion doesn't see feasible. I already have this client under 2 x serial numbers and 2 x subscriptions. One for online and one for offline. Seriously I'd be better off leaving the online data file for payroll purposes only and moving their desktop data file to another product such as Reckon or Xero.
MYOB needs to give us some consideration and flexibility, like allowing bookkeepers and accountants to move everything online after the end of the 25-26 financial year
