Blog Post
Hi,
That full post by Mike should of been what was communicated out to everyone when the offline depreciation was first announced. This is also the only info I have seen knowing SE is being sunsetted, nowhere else have I seen it mentioned, as this is important to us as we use the SE version.
Question: since SE is only getting bug fixes, does that mean it doesn't get new tax table updates etc, or is that inherent for online files? We use SE on our Windows Server so what is the support to run the PC edition on our server given its the only being properly supported now?
Regards
Damien
Hey DamienGM
Your file will need to be online in order to make use of payroll features. After 17 June 2026, Server Edition will only receive bug fixes, not any future features or security enhancements.

I do not think you are reading my question correctly. We have an ONLINE file now which is accessed by both PC & SE edition. After 17 Jun 26, if there are tax table changes should I see this being reflected in both PC & SE?

Hi DamienGM ,
By having an online file, your PC editions will automatically be updating to the latest version each month and will therefore also pick up the latest features, security and compliance (including tax tables)
Server edition is designed for running files offline, if you have the subscription and run your file online, it would be best to use PC edition.
Server edition will not get any further monthly releases after 2026.5 which means it will no longer receive feature, compliance or security updates (only bug fixes if/when they occur). Tax tables will not update in SE as this would fall under 'compliance' and only update in PC edition with new monthly releases.
