Hi magpiejo , I'll try to address both of your posts in a reply here

If you install an older version of AccountRight (available from our website) you will still be able to open and edit your file. This will likely need to be done each time you need to access the file however, as the silent installer for AccountRight will automatically update the version you have installed to the latest version while you are using it.
You other options now are to either:
- Install server edition (which it sounds like you have found) and you can continue to use your files offline. This is not a long term solution though as Server edition will not be receiving any more updates.
- You do not need to buy it, and it should work with your data file yes. If you need any assistance, you will need to contact our support team for individual assistance (rather than general information on the forum)
- Or you can get a subscription for your file and continue to run your file online. To clarify 'online' does not mean that you have to be accessing the file via a browser. You would continue to access it via the desktop if you want, but it is connected to live services.

Moving to a different product is a third option, and it is possible to migrate to MYOB Business with your data.
If this is something you want to consider, you can learn more about the process here
You can also contact the sales team directly rather than waiting for their call if you wanted to discuss your options with them. myob.com/contacts/sales
Mike, thankyou so much for the reply,
I was contacted by phone by MYOB today, a lovely lady who took the time to explain this to me, and sent me the link to SE edition, which was what I had found, but was too scared to download!!
so I have downloaded it, tried all 3 files and all 3 work!!! I deleted the old versions including the original from 2019 when i got this pc!! and its all still working, I even confirmed the three files just in case!! woohooo!! no cost!
I get that it may not last forever, but right now i'm just happy to get past the end of the financial year!!!
the only thing i am not sure on is the subscription part? not sure if I need it but She said there isnt one for the SE edition?
anyhow, thankyou for your assistance and patience!!
best wishes and thanks, jo, cheers
