Report AO P&L issue

Why does my AO profit and loss report start with Direct Cost first and not sales and Income.

I was making some changes and updated the Report Definitions, what have I done?

{I have restored master settings in Account groups & Tax Account groups and reset reports, refreshsed, restarted AO}

  • Thank you Rohit.

I finally have someone looking into it for me.

    Hello Sammi,

Thank you for your enquiry. Items in a P&L statement appear in numerical order. To ensure that income appears before direct cost items, we go to manage accounts>amend the income items to numbers before the direct costs.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Kind Regards

    Rohit

    Hello Sammi,

Thank you for your enquiry. By clicking on the workpapers/trial balance tab, you will see "manage accounts" on your left under tasks. Other option is to click into one of the workpaper periods and and there will be "manage accounts" on your left. If this does not work, then please go to the reports tab, click "non transaction data" on your left and select income statement options. Please tick the box "display other income before expense."

Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Kind Regards

    Rohit

    Hi Rohit

I have just checked other clients, the issue is at a Practice level. I have Admin rights.

Within a client, 'managed accounts' is greyed out.

Within workpapers there is no managed accounts.

tick the box "display other income before expense. - made no difference.

I only updated the Report Definitions and in Practice Report settings update Account groups and reports. Which I have reset/restored to try and correct.

    Hello Sammi,

Thank you for your reply. If manage accounts is greyed out, it is because it is not configured to AO ledger and to another source instead. This may need further investigation. You are more than welcome to contact support and one of the agents will dial in to investigate further.

    Kind Regards

    Rohit
