Advanced Deployments version 2022.118.301.3266

This is to advise for the recent deployments in April and May, version 2022.118.301.3266, we have found a performance issue explicitly relating to ODATA. This occurs when a large amount of data is being processed, exceeding the maximum number of connections, causing a decline in performance. Eventually, the process times out, and the system is halted and requires a reset.  Once the cache is cleared, the system is operational.

What does this mean?

Any customer sites that process high data volumes through ODATA will experience this problem.   Several customers that use Velixo reporting have been impacted.  The Velixo reports use a specific connection method, and where the connection exceeds the maximum size, they will experience the performance issue noted above.

What has occurred to date?

Several customer sites have been removed from the upgrade process. A fix will be made available next week.  The deployment schedule for the 2nd of May will be placed on hold until a new version is available.

What next?

The Development team will create a hotfix that will be applied to impacted customers and those removed from the recent deployment window.

We will also release a new upgrade version to ensure the continuance of our deployment process.

    Hi all,

     

    Further update to the release.

     

    • The current ETA for the hot fix is tomorrow afternoon (Thursday 4 May)
    • We will be establishing the deployment schedule this afternoon for the hotfix and will publish that via post later today, and we will prepare the windows in self-service tomorrow

      Hi all,

       

      Confirming that the release will be availble tomorrow. The deployment schedule for the hotfix will be:

      • Thursday 4 May
      • Monday 8 May
      • Wednesday 10 May

      The schedules will be published in the self-service portal tomorrow morning. This will have a flow on impact that we will need to move standard deployments that are scheduled for next week.

        Morning all,

         

        The deployment schedules for the hotfix have now been published in the self-service portal. 

         

        As per the previous post, the first cohort will be upgraded tonight with further upgrades on Monday and Wednesday next week.

         

        Being that this is a hotfix, the deployment windows are locked and notifications will be going out to the sites via the in-product messaging shortly.
