Advanced Payroll : Adjust Pays for Under payment

Hi Everyone, 

The Payroll module of MYOB Advanced includes the ability to create adjustment pays for individual employees to correct or update errors in their pays. In the case of under payment, you can now generate a top-up payment in the adjust pays workflow.

Previously: The adjusted batch payment is created for the full payment amount. In the case of an underpayment, the payroll officer must manually calculate the difference to be paid to the employee and manually process the payment.

In 2023.1.1  release we have made a change to adjust pay functionality for underpayments (Correcting an Underpayment )and now the payment batch will automatically works out the difference between the original net pay and the adjustment net pay and creates the payment batch for the top-up amount.

 

 This improvement was missed in the 2023.1.1 release notes previously . It is now updated  in the 2023.1.1 and  2023.1.3 release notes to make customers aware of the new functionality.

 

And finally, your feedback and ideas are valuable to us. This resolves feedback provided in Adjustment Pay Batch Payment amount = difference in net pay only  --Votes 11.

    Thanks for this, however, the screens are not very clear where the client would find the generate payment screen. Maybe a screen shot of where to find the generate payment screen would help.

    The payment and banking date on the top-up payment are set to the physical pay date of the original pay run and can't be changed. So please use the new feature with care if the top-up payment is not made on the same day.

      This does not help the client then as the bank file wont work if the date is not correct, what do you suggest?

        Hi,

        On the positive adjusted pay run, there is an option to change the physical pay date using the "Change Pay Date," which allows for the adjustment of the pay run dates, including the physical pay date. Please see the screenshot below.
