There is no quote reports yet in Live Accounts.
Could a report be created that shows the "Accepted" quotes in a selected period, therefore giving you the sales for this period?
A sale is generally a customer acceptance of a quote and not when this quote is converted to an invoice. An accepted quote ("a sale") may only be converted to an invoice after a few weeks.

I've been using the quotes function, and it definitely saves time in closing sales and billing when those jobs are done.
It is hard though to review where things are at though. If you go into quotes, you can't tell which ones are delivered, which ones have been invoiced etc, so you have to either maintain a separate spreadsheet outside of MYOB or open every quote at a time to see what it is (as the summary only shows the customer name and price). This is particularly tricky when you are doing regular jobs and multiple jobs for the same customer.
Simple suggestion: when an invoice has been created from a quote, change the status of the quote from "accepted" to "invoiced", which means the user can just review exceptions on screen instead of lots of clicking and working outside the system.
Powerful suggestion: sales orientated workflows that focus the business' attention on closing deals, getting purchase orders from client and getting the invoices out. This would start shifting MYOB live from a backward looking accounting system to something that actually helps owners to manage their business.
Picking up on Stucky's comment, would also be good to split the sales report on the dashboard to 3 things - accepted, invoiced and collected.
At the moment the dashaboard does invoiced, and owning, but not sold or cash collected - both of which are important if you want to stay solvent for more than a month.
It looks like only 4 votes for this item don't warrant the changes, which is very frustrating when trying to use all modules of LiveAccounts. Could this be looked at again please as it would change so much the sales ability and reporting. Thanks
Hi stucky, all the ideas on the exchange are things that we will look into adding for future updates, the system isn't that if there aren't enough votes we don't look at it, the votes just show us how to prioritise the feature based on the amount of people who would like to see it added. I notice that you haven't voted for this idea when it seems that you're a fan of it, what I would suggest would be to add your vote so at least your voice is counted, hopefully others will follow your example to push this idea up the list.

Has anything been done regarding the quotes? It would really become a very good sales enquiries/reporting tool if these changes could be incorporated into this module.
Been requesting that for a few months now. Please look into this.

Hi stucky improving the use of LiveAccounts and features like this is still something that we're looking at doing and thank you for your continued detailed suggestions. The priority of where we focus out attention is based on feedback from the community however and with the Ideas Exchange we use the votes system to see how many users want what added so sometimes is may be a while before we add in the particular change that you want because we're working on improving another part of the software that have more demand at the time.
