Return to Sender - Emails not Sending? 📧‼️

Let's take a peek under the hood.

Have you ever prepared an invoice, only to attempt sending it and you encounter an error like this one:

 

Error: Failed to send email

Adding a reply-to email 📧

We've been there - we find this error usually occurs when you try to send the invoice email, but there's no reply-to email address (this lets your customers email you back!). Here's some handy hints to get you back on track: 

 

  1. Go to Money in and tap the settings icon in the top right (⚙️)
  2. Tap Invoice settings, and then Invoice emails.
  3. Next to Reply-to email,  tap Add
  4. Enter your preferred email address, and a name.
  5. Tap Save

💡Tip: Adjusting your Sender name will also change the name that displays on your invoice, so feel free to confirm or update this detail before moving on.

Sharing to Other Apps 📮

Some customers prefer to share their invoices in other email programs, or platforms, and this can be used in place of the share feature built into Solo if you need to share an invoice directly. Here's how to go about that:

  1. Create your invoice as normal (more on that here)
  2. Select your invoice, and tap More.
  3. Tap Share invoice
  4. Tap Share, located at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Follow the prompts to select your preferred delivery method.
