đ First Time? Hereâs How to Get Rolling
Never used this feature before? No sweatâweâll have you up and running faster than your third coffee kicks in. ââĄ
If youâve got a bunch of services or items you invoice for regularly, follow these steps to build your Products and Services list and start creating invoices at lightning speed.
How to Create Saved Items:
1. Head to the âMoreâ tab in the bottom-right of your Solo app
2. Tap âProducts and Servicesâ
3. If itâs your first time here, youâll see a cue screen â tap âCreate Itemâ
4. Fill in your itemâs details:
âŻâŻâŻâŻâ˘ Description
âŻâŻâŻâŻâ˘ Unit type
âŻâŻâŻâŻâ˘ Price
âŻ(The category and GST code will be pre-filled for you)
5. Tap âSaveâ
6. Youâll land back in your product list â to add more, hit the â+â in the top-right corner
đĄ Heads up: Items prices are always saved as GST exclusive by default â this will update automatically depending on whether your invoice is set to GST inclusive or exclusive.
âď¸ Using Saved Items While Creating an Invoice
Already in the middle of creating an invoice? You can still add new itemsâno need to backtrack.
1. Tap â+ Add Itemâ
2. Youâll see your full list of saved Products and Services
3. Want to add a brand new one? Tap the â+â in the top right-hand corner
4. Fill in the itemâs details, and make sure the toggle âSave to Products and Servicesâ is switched on
5. Tap âAdd to invoiceâ and youâre done!
đ ď¸ Can I Edit a Saved Item in an Invoice?
Yep, you sure can!
Letâs say youâve got a saved item called âConsultation â 1 hourâ, and you want to make it âConsultation â 1 hour (via Zoom)â for one specific client.
You can absolutely edit it in the invoice, and that edit will apply to that invoice onlyâyour original saved item stays untouched. Handy, right?
đĄ Heads up: If you create a new saved item inside an invoice, but donât save the invoice itself, your item wonât save either.
And thatâs it! Saved Items = more speed, less admin, and fewer âwhat did I call that service again?â moments. đ
