Document Manager is Kaput

Hi, for the past few days I get a message that says "Failed connecting to File Store Server" when i try to open any document in document manager

this utopian paperless world is wonderful when Doc Man works, but I havent been able to acheive Jack **bleep** for a couple of days which is way annoying

Has anyone got a similar issue????
