It would be great if the Purchase order number could be displayed in one of the columns when looking at the list of invoices (whether paid, overdue or current) - perhaps between the invoice number and customer name.
This would save a lot of time searching to see if an invoice has been created against a particular invoice (rather than opening up each individual invoice)

Hi. Is it possible to have the Purchase Order column as a search as well. I am am in a garage and we use registration numbers as the Purchase Order. It would be real handy and save a lot of time if I was able to seach for a registration number.
Please extend the search function under Invoices to include the Purchase Orders column as well.
It seems crazy that you cant search using purchase oder number .

It would be great to be able to search invoices by purchase order numbers and not just clients .I often have to search through loads of invoices to see if we have sent an invoice for a certain purchase order number.

It would be great if we could see the purchase order number on the screen that shows the list of invoices.
The purchase order number is critical to our business. And it is the refence given when we are searching to see if a invoice or payment has been made.
This would save us heaps of time, to see this quickly rather than having to click into each invoice manually to see if that is the purchase number we are looking for.
The older software, from MYOB we had, had this feature, so im sure it would not be to hard for your programers to organise. Especaially seeing there is a purchase order field in the invoice. So why not utilise it!
It would also be great to be able to search by purchase number, as this is the number quoted to us by our customers. The number our whole company resolves around.
Please please please add this to the next update!!!!!!!!!
We really love the new MYOB Essentials, as a whole, and love the way it auto links to the bank statement, but this minor adjustment would make it absolutely perfect, and it would then suit all our needs.

Could we have the reference/order tab appear on the main Sales & Quote page. We invoice the same companies but for different jobs and find it somewhat difficult to locate the invoice or quote a company may be ringing about. it is easlier to go to the printed copies which is hard for one to do when not in the office.
We also require a reference/order box to appear on the quote system.

Agreed. I have been asking for the client p/o number to show on that main page so you can searc t sine MYOB essentials started, to no avail Instead they focus on cosmetic changes rather than ones that are actually useful to 99% of the users. This is the first sytem I ahve ever used that does not allow you to search for a customer p/o when they call and ask for the missing invoice - 2 hours later ypu may or may not find it. very very frustrating.

Great suggestion. You can save this information on the actual expense but I can see having it visible on the listing screen or reports would be beneficial, so I will add this request to our roadmap.

I know that purchases are separate from Sales - but on the invoices we have have a spot to put the company we are billings Purchase Order number, for their reference (to match our invoice against). It would be great if this purchase order number could be added as a column when you look at the invoices list ie outstanding etc

Some of my clients need to reference their cutomer's Purchase order number on the invoices. It's important to be able to track which purchase orders have been finished, and which ones still need to be completed, and therefore we need to be able to be able to quickly search for it without opening every single invoice for that customer.
There will be occasions where Purchase Orders go missing, and without the ability to quickly search for it in MYOB, it can take a bit of time finding it if you need to inspect every single invoice..
+1. Definitey useful when looking at a large list of invoices being able to identify which one relates to a particular job.

I had been using for some years AccountEdge but as I wanted an online system I changed over to Xero. I must admit they had some great features but also some things I didn't like so I have recently come back to MYOB. It would be extremely useful to have this feature as I work for several legal firms and use the "purchaser order" to put the details and their file number and client. To have this appear on the list of invoices on the Invoice screen page would be extremely beneficial. This is one feature of Xero that I do miss.
