ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsSplit Payments - make it optional Hi, Following the recent "we want to take a cut and become a payment gateway" debacle/deceit/lie which was sold to us all as a compulsory "Secure Invoicing to prevent baddies using the product", I had a little heart skip today when I saw "Split Payments" on the invoice screen after the last update. Thankfully it is just a survey (which all staff get - go figure). But MYOB, you say Split payments are coming. Don't screw this up this time. MANY of your customers are not tradies. We (and many others) don't and never want to offer split payments so (when you do introduce it) please don't make this appear on invoices. Some businesses obviously need it so let those people only switch it on. But (when it is introduced), PLEASE do not force it on everyone. Re: Attachments auto-included when emailing a sale?? Thanks. I really appreciate you explaining that. No, we can't see that feature yet so I'll be sure you tell staff not to use it when it does appear. Thanks again. Re: Attachments auto-included when emailing a sale?? Thanks. I just saw your attachment image. Maybe I'm missing something but where was that file for it to attach itself? You mention it was uploaded into the invoice. Is this something you do, or is MYOB pulling files from elsewhere? I know you can add attachments to a bill (we don't) but I'm confused with how the attachments that are mentioned are linked to sales invoices. Re: Attachments auto-included when emailing a sale?? Hi, Thanks but still not sure what this means. What are all attachments? The PDF invoice and?? We receive orders from customers, we enter them into MYOB. What is it going to try and send in addition to the invoice? Is it going to try and find Quotes as resend them as well? What else? Zero clue what this means but keen to find out before it starts sending random, unwanted files to customers. "By default, all documents attached to a sales transaction will be included if you email the sale" Is anyone able to explain what this function actually means. If I email an invoice, what else will it be attaching? Suggestion to MYOB. Think first. Not all of your customers are tradies working from a van who need immediate payment. Many are larger businesses supplying to customers on terms, and we just need what we had. Re: Attachments auto-included when emailing a sale?? The above talks about other files (actually all files related to a sale) being added by default. Not sure what those other files could be, hence the question. When we email an invoice, statement, quote or proforma, we only wants that single PDF sent, not anything else being added by default. Please confirm. Also, when we email invoices and statements in bulk (out of MYOB but through Outlook), we need to know there are no surprise attachments. As we don't see that email unless we check the Sent Items folder in Outlook. And it's too late then to remove them as the release notes suggest. Can you clarify please. Attachments auto-included when emailing a sale?? Hi, From the "Coming Soon" section of todays update. Does anyone know what this actually means? Attachments auto-included when emailing a sale By default, all documents attached to a sales transaction will be included if you email the sale – but you can remove them if you like. I was and remain traumatised with the "by default" changes as part of the secure invoicing (aka payment gateway) deceit and am wondering what this statement really means? Does "emailing the sale" mean emailing an invoice, proforma or similar? If so, what will also be emailed "by default"? Re: How to remove "View invoice" link from emails Thanks but not correct for us. The links started the very second the verification process began. All invoices sent prior (they are in Outlook sent box) are how they used to be. It started once our verification started. The timing for the 'trojan-horse' secure invoicing deceit was different for everybody. Remove invoice links from emailed invoices Our customers are on terms and pay by EFT so we switched on-line payments off the very same hour that we were verified. We need to be able to remove the "view full invoice details" link and "View Invoice" green box as they are redundant, and amateurish, and the link is "paydirect" which is not correct in this circumstance. Short version, we don't use on-line payments and want emailed invoices to only be the PDF invoice with no MYOB links. Just like they used to be. Re: How to remove "View invoice" link from emails Hi Princess, this isn't an idea, it's common sense. Is there a "Stop screwing around with our businesses" exchange? MYOB, stop messing us around with such poor deceitful, communication without explaining the consequences of your forced and unnecessary changes. I am annoyed beyond words at MYOB. I am stunned you are making us (who don't use on-line payments) send two identical links called "paydirect" to customers. We only want to send the PDF invoice, and without the amateur MYOB links or portals being involved - just like we signed up for all those years ago. How to remove "View invoice" link from emails Hi, We were just verified for secure invoicing (and I strongly echo every negative comment from others about that). As our customers pay by EFT, we have switched off the on-line payment option. How now do we remove the "view full invoice details" link and the "View Invoice" green box from what is now emailed to customers? The invoice is attached as a PDF. The customer does not need two links to the invoice as well as a the attachment. How do we get emails to look like they did prior to what you did? As in, just the PDF invoice and no link your invoice portal? Also, very disappointing that all invoices prior to verification are now set for "Pay Now" by credit card. Our customers are on terms and at statement time, we get lots of requests for copies of invoices. We now need to manually switch on-line off for every open invoice, or email them to ourselves first. Not good. Anyway, please advise how to remove the links that now send with invoices. I was told before verification that once I switched on-line payments off, invoice emailing would be as it was. It isn't.
