Remove invoice links from emailed invoices

Our customers are on terms and pay by EFT so we switched on-line payments off the very same hour that we were verified. We need to be able to remove the "view full invoice details" link and "View Invoice" green box as they are redundant, and amateurish, and the link is "paydirect" which is not correct in this circumstance.

Short version, we don't use on-line payments and want emailed invoices to only be the PDF invoice with no MYOB links. Just like they used to be.

  • Myob, an option to remove the links in invoice emails is becoming quite urgent. Many email servers are now rejecting emails with these links and the email is coming back as undeliverable with message reason 'Rejected content policy violation'. Re-sending the exact same email (with PDF invoice attached) and just deleting the links allows it to be received.

Well said DJMX5, redundant and amateurish aptly describe these links.

We don't use online payments either and were not aware that we were turning these on during the verification process that we were forced to endure. The end result is that several clients got invoice emails with a Pay Now button with payment options that we don't have available. The used to think I'm an idiot, they now know.

The whole process seems to revolve around MYOB getting a slice the payment action and should be revisited.

We should not be able to turn such things on unknowingly and then waste time figuring out how to turn it off.

  • MYOB please just revert to the way it was! We are here running small businesses, and you are just making our lives harder.

We don't like it, we didn't want it!!

Thanks for your idea DJMX5! We'll be sharing this one with our product teams and have updated the status to open for other members of our community to vote and add weight to your idea.

  • It was a terrible idea in the first place. People are no longer clicking links for security reasons, and yet MYOB has made this not optional. Our clients won't click them! and completely unnecessary for those who don’t use online payments.

And so many spam filters are set to quarantine emails with links resulting in people not getting their invoice notices and you have to follow them up with a phone call.

What subset of MYOB customers would even know that the forum exists, much less that they can vote to say whether something is an issue for them?  We also didn't want online payments, will be switching it off if we ever get through the verification process.  One month of emails and phone calls now with no progress.  The CEO will not be happy to be told there will be redundant links on our invoices, looks very unprofessional.

Except it really only tells you how many customers have reached a high enough level of frustration to register for the community... I reckon if you surveyed your customers you'd find more people want it than bother here. It feels like a waste of time and energy. The invoice summary is unprofessional looking too.

I am reasonably certain many of MYOB's customers don't even know all this superfluous rubbish is included in the sent emails. We only found out by accident when emailed ourselves an invoice to then forward from outlook to get around the customer's system rejecting MYOB's invoices.

How many 'likes' does it take to get anything that users want or need before they are implemented?

Hi AlanT , there isn't a set threshold that we can set
As much as I would love to be able to say (100 likes) means we will implement a change, it wouldn't be possible.
The likes currently operate as a way of understanding how many customers are affected/impacted by the suggestion and then our product managers/developers can use this to weigh up the impact of one change against another for all of our customers
