Re: Import/Export Error Code 58 Thanks Mike, We've been doing inventory set up via this import method for 7 years and this is the first time I've had to use the brackets at the top of the .txt file or import it twice as the first time doesn't import the complete file. MYOB need to review this, as I'd like to hope it's not just me it's happening to......... thx, Fiona Re: Import/Export Error Code 58 thansk Mike, I tried this and intially it didn't work. Then I exported all our inventory, saved that ITEM.txt, deleted the fields I didn't need, copy and pasted from my other txt file, saved and imported again. It didn't import the selling prices, but all other fields. I then imported again just those missing fields. Finally it worked. A lot of work around for something that should be a simple upload. Clearly the AR programming for 2020.2 needs to be fixed for this process. Appreciate your replies to my issue. Fiona Re: Import/Export Error Code 58 Thanks Mike, I'll try that and hopefully it will work for future imports. Appreicate your help. Fiona Re: Import/Export Error Code 58 Hi Mike, This is a sample of the file I have been trying to import. Fiona Import/Export Error Code 58 I have tried for hours to import new "item" into our AR 2020.2 file and constantly receive the error message "58" - income account invalid; item may not be sold. I've made sure the file is a tab delimited file; I've exported all our existing items and used the same file to import, adding the new items and it still won't import the new items! The error log shows the account number as 104 when it should be 41000!! This is becoming increasingly frustrating given I have spent way too much time on this and shouldn't have to do 200+ new items manually! MYOB - I need a solution and FAST.!!!! Solved
