In regards to this "multi factor authentication for inactivity" we don't want it ... and you are just NOT LISTENING TO US.... MYOB you keep saying and I quote "...... we want to provide industry best practice security for all of our customers!" ..... FIRSTLY ..... "want to" is not "have to" ..... and I have not read one customer reply saying thank you for making our lives so much busier and for bogging us down in YOUR bureaucracy .... Re: Enhanced security measures are live - Update 20/11/24 2FA should be renamed 3FA because logging in each day is a 3 step process ..... 1. username, 2. password and 3. authentication .... After every 30 minutes of inactivity (by the way the ATO "would prefer" every 15 minutes! so that will be on the horizon!!) one has to follow a 2FA 1. username - fully type in the username (typically email address) because there is no "auto prediction" available .... and then 2. password... I have just had 2 major databases (one a Government database [we have an account with this database and have to sign in], the other financial) open on my desktop with no activity for 45 minutes with NO ACTIVITY (I put a timer on to be sure) and low and behold was NOT logged off 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ can someone explain that please? I also note it's interesting that we (MYOB customers) were not invited as stakeholders ... or even surveyed to ask what WE want/need or how these changes WILL impact our businesses ... HATE the fact that we now have to authenticate each day!!!! ..... BUT TO HAVE TO SIGN BACK IN EVERY 30 MINUTES ..... NO .... NO..... NO..... PLEASE give us the option to OPT OUT OF THIS "SECURITY MEASURE"...... Our bank has been debited an increased monthly fee - We have not received any notification of an increase and I am unable to access any information in our administration login.... please explain....
