Items: Set negative price for items (discounts)
Since the new upgrade, I can no longer use my premade discounts because you can't use negative values in invoices. This was handy because I could jst type the Item ID, hit ENTER or TAB and it was done. Now I either have to have create additional items with discounted values built in (EXTRA WORK) or manually add a discount % to an invoice and then edit the description line to explain what the discount was for. The discount percentages aren't always whole numbers (i.e. 10%, 25%), but often varying values, so this is a pain too. I'd not to have the ability to use my old premade discounts! Essentials currently has the ability to print an "Item Sales Report" showing Item number, Item Name, Quantity sold, $ Amount sold. It can also run a report titled "Items List Report". On that report there is an unused column titled "Units on Hand". Can you please add the ability to enter the quantity of items purchased when creating and editing "Items" and also have that populate to "Units on hand" in the report "Sales Item List"? Hi we have multiple items that we put together as a kit. Currently we are addding each individual item In my older version of MYOB we could create one item eg. ABCD KIT and attach certain different stocked items to it. When invoicing/quoting we just entere ABCD KIT and it automatically listed and accounted for the individual items from stock. I hope it makes sense. "JOB Bill of materials"508Views1like0CommentsSales: Enter Unit and Amount, let system calculate the Unit Price
G'day, It would be very handy if one could put in the quantity and the final price and then the unit price would be automatically derived from that. This is especially handy if you know the final price and have an odd unit (like 1.5 buckets of sand), but you aren't sure of the unit price (yet you want the customer to see that you gave them 1.5 buckets of sand. It would be extremely useful to have the option to print Sales Reports in summary form in Essentials, as per the options in Account Right, as most reportsd are far too long. eg. the Sales by Item report under Sales options, lists sales by product codes but it lists in the body of the report, every customer who purchased that product for each product code. The option to simply have each code listed and the total salesfor that product shown, so that the report could be 10 or so lines long instead of several pages. Currently LiveAccounts only offers a GST exclusive Item Sell price and two decimal places for the price. This causes issues like the following: A $36 inc. GST price becomes 31.40. Which then means if I invoice for a couple of these, the invoice (GST inclusive) displays: a unit price of $35.99 - I want $36 a total of $71.99 - this is neither the $72 figure I wanted nor 2x $35.99 Please add either a GST inclusive Item Sell price or 3 decimal places for GST ex. Only have the option for Commission Items to allocate to an income account. I need to allocate mine to Cost of Goods sold account. I can do it manually for each invoice - but should be able to have it set up automatically. Need to be able to look up an expense/income account individually to see transactions (rather than just the overall total). Also would be great to be able to save receive money templates that have a mix of accounts (like in accountright). Also to have the tab button take the cursor across the line. Lastly to be able to do a sum/multiplication in the monetary cell. I have been using account right for 6 years, and finding using Essentials very limited. As of August 2018, a manually-entered price on a sale or purchase can have 4 decimal places. When creating an item, although 4 decimal places are permitted in the price fields, when saved they are reduced to 2. This will assist in avoiding rounding errorswith GST-inclusive line totals, especially since prices cannot (yet?) be specified as GST-inclusive.
