Welcome Solmates đ
How is it nearly June already? If youâve just joined Solo (or have just found our community), youâre in the right place. This community is for swapping ideas, and getting unstuck as we build our things: side projects, businesses, careers, whatever the mission is. To kick things off, weâd love if you could drop a quick hello below and tell us a bit about you. No pressureâjust enough so we can put a person to a username. Where are you joining from? What are you working on right now? Whatâs one thing youâd love help with (or can help others with)? And for fun: whatâs your go-to focus soundtrack / snack / ritual when digging into the Work-Work? Have a look around, jump into any thread that grabs you, and if youâre not sure where to startâthis oneâs perfect. Weâll be keeping an eye out and saying hi back. Over to youâsay hi đ (hot tip: weâll start a new one of these every few months)116Views0likes6CommentsHoliday Season Transaction Delays: What Solmates Need to Know
The festive season is full of joy, sunshine⌠and unfortunately, transaction delays. If you notice slower transaction data or delayed payouts in Solo over Christmas, donât stress â itâs completely normal this time of year. Hereâs what to expect, and why itâs nothing to worry about. đŚ Banking: Slower Syncing Is Normal Over the Christmas and New Year period, bank data will take longer than usual to appear in Solo. This is because: Banks donât process data on public holidays (and there are plenty during this period!) Instead of syncing twice a day, Solo will only receive one data sync per day Public holiday timing can add an extra day or two to processing (see point one). What this means for you You might need to wait an extra day or two before a transaction shows up for matching in Solo. Please donât manually match transactions â your data for smart matches will come through. Duplicate effort = no fun for anyone. đ¸ Tap to Pay & Online Payments: Payout Delays During the Christmas shutdown period: Payments will continue to settle 2 business days after the payment was made and settlement will only happen on non-public-holiday weekdays This means it may take anywhere between 3 to 5 business days for the funds to hit your account during this period Example If you take a Tap to Pay payment late on Wednesday, 24 December, your payout likely wonât land until Tuesday or Wednesday the following week â simply because of public holidays and banking downtime. This is normal, expected, and unavoidable, but your funds are safe and will arrive. đ Weâre Still Here (Somewhat!) If youâre wondering what Solo support looks like over Christmas, weâve got a full rundown here: đChristmas at Solo: What to Expect | MYOB Community đ Final Word Delays at this time of year happen to every bank, every payment processor, and every financial app â not just Solo. The holidays are not fun if youâre strapped for cash. If you anticipate needing some cash flow during this period, itâs worth planning ahead, so youâre not relying on payments to land instantly. You've got this, Solmate.120Views0likes0Comments
