Hi Troubled_Sue,
Based on the version number that you've provided it appears you may be going through the upgrade process and then going back to opening your file using a previous version of the software.
The latest compliance update version number is AccountRight v2014.3.16.5484. The Welcome screen when you start the program should show this version number.
Therefore please check your desktop for a new icon for v2014.3 to open and work on your file. Do let us know if you continue to have issues with this.
