Hey Alplasco
You'll only be required to sign in again after 20-30 minutes of inactivity, not every 30 minutes. These changes are in line with best practice industry standards which we are adhering to in order to best protect your sensitive business data. You can find more information on this page!
Hello Amanda
In my job with the 20-30 min inactivity I will be signing in every time I come back to my desk as I have dealings with customers that will be more the 20-30 minutes interaction at times
Again we should have the option of selecting the time allowance or an option to opt out. This my business not the ATO business and my productivity is going to be affected by this decision.
Thank you Alplasco

Hey Alplasco
The idea has been mentioned on our Ideas Exchange already but it's unlikely we'll explore updating the login requirements. I understand it may take a bit to get used to but we've made these changes to best protect your sensitive business data in case you aren't at your desk to prevent unauthorised access.

Hello Amanda
Appreciate your time in replying
Last time I looked it is my business and it should be my decision on the security measure I am comfortable to take. Why do I just have to suck it up and get use to the changes being forced upon me?
Yes MYOB should defiantly offer the options for additional security but not make them mandatory. The individual business should decide what security measure they are happy to implement
But I don't think it matters how many people complain to MYOB or the ATO. The decision has been made and the people it effects the most have NO say. Just make their lives a little more difficult

I find this all quite intrusive. So we pay for the use of your MYOB accounting system (and we pay a lot) but that's as far MYOB should be involved. Do you know that OUR business is not yours to protect! We are capable of providing the level of security that we find necessary for our own individual buisness. I use MYOB every day at various times of the day and there are sometimes periods of inactivity that are longer than 30 mins. All businesses are not working madly in MYOB every minute of the day but we need it open for what we need to do and when we need to do it. Logging in multiple times is absurdly unnecessary and very frustrating. Doesn't make for a pleasant work environment. I was logged out this morning already and I couldn't just re-enter my password (as it said I should) but I had to close the whole thing and login from scratch again, VERY FRUSTRATING. Can we expect a reduction on our subscriptions for this mess you are forcing on us? I will certainly be looking at other options, and quickly.

Hi AmandaCL I asked earlier but I think it's been missed in all of today's messages. Is the inactivity defined as:
A) inactivity in the MYOB software, or
B) inactivity on the device as a whole
because they are two very different things.
EDIT: Never mind, I finally found it in the FAQs.
