How can we petition MYOB to roll this back? As far as I am aware no ATO requirement here, so this can't be used as an excuse. MikeG1 I know you are the messenger not the authority but MYOB are making it very hard for us to want to stay with them with these changes. This is nanny state stuff. It should be our decision, not the software providers. The 2FA - and note on Monday I was forced to wait for 2FA three times within 2 hours - still not sure why - is awful as I assumed it would be - this may break me.

Hi BenModern , the ATO requirement is linked to in our help article
I can provide it here to assist though
https://softwaredevelopers.ato.gov.au/operational_framework/further-guidance-requirements
As far as petitions to roll it back...because it is a mandatory requirement, it wont be possible to roll it back, but I can assure you that the team implementing these changes are aware of all the feedback coming through.
It has been helpful for us already to help identify and correct any unexpected behaviours or potentially look at ways we can help make things easier for our customers. (example of pre-filling the email of the user when signing in)- BenModern14 days agoExperienced Cover User
Any idea how we petition the ATO then? Trust that beaurocrats have no idea because in the public service they tend not to understand how unproductive wastes of time can be frustrating.
I know you can't speak for other providers, but did MYOB make any submission / protest / advice that this wasn't a good idea on behalf of its users? Maybe a change.org or similar is in order.
