Hi all,

Another week has flown by. I hope it was a good one for you all.

We were pleased this week to be able to announce our financial results for 2013, which showed MYOB strengthening its position as Australia and New Zealand’s leading business solutions provider. The strong results enable us to keep heavily investing in innovative cloud solutions in 2014 to help make business life easier.

The results also show the shift to cloud accounting is happening rapidly, says MYOB CEO Tim Reed. “The evolving needs of small and medium businesses have driven a significant increase in sales of our cloud accounting solutions, which now account for half of all new product registrations,” says Tim. “That has grown significantly in the past year, up from 25% one year ago.

“While we believe cloud technology provides tremendous benefits to SMEs, different businesses have different needs. That is why we pride ourselves on offering a choice of cloud solutions, starting with MYOB Essentials, which is great for those new to accounting software, and MYOB AccountRight, which makes it easy for businesses to move from the desktop to the cloud. We have also invested in innovative mobile solutions, and are confident all our solutions offer better value than alternatives.

“I believe it is this combination of making it easy, enabling on-the-go business and delivering better value that has led to such a rapid adoption of our online accounting solutions by existing clients.”

It’s been another busy week on the Community Forum, with over 630 posts in the past seven days, including over 180 from MYOB staff. We also happily welcomed another 230 new members to the community.

Our top contributors this week were Emile_V, DeanG, ronatbas, TonyLane and The_Doc. All had multiple Accepted Solutions, with TonyLane and The_Doc leading the way. Many thanks for all your invaluable assistance to our community members.

We were also excited this week to begin work on some new functionality to the Community Forum which we’re sure you’ve love.

One of the best changes will be enabling community users to customise the front page of the forum to list their favourite boards in the order of their preference. You will be able to easily sort the order of your favourite boards, too.

We are also improving our ranking structure for users. We are introducing new ranks to better recognise and reward our most active contributors. We also think ranks are a great way to give community users confidence that they are being assisted by a trusted and experienced expert in their field. The new system should also be much easier for all to understand, and be more visually appealing.

We will have more information on these and other changes to the forum very soon. If you ever have any suggestions for forum improvements that would make business life easier for you, please let us know. Any feedback is always very welcome and most appreciated. We want to ensure the forum continues to be a most useful resource for all.

Love your work,
