Most of my pre-fills reports from the ATO are failing this morning.
We get the message "Download Error"
Error code -
Summary: Error saving downloaded prefill informaion
Detail: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
I have tried 2020 prefill downloands and they wotk fine - it is just the 2021 year for the problem.
This issue was supposed to be fixed with the hotfix 2021.0a
We had that uploaded on Friday 23/7/2021 and it still didn't fix the download problem at all.
We had already done this hotfix 2021.0a
We are still getting the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
Not an all prefill's. Only on the occasional one. But enough that it still needs to be fixed.
You are not the only one. Must be some issue with MYOB not ATO, I think.

We have had several reports of pre-fill errors from other sites. After speaking with MYOB it appears to be an issue in Tax 2021 which is currently being investigated.
In other sites we have seen this error occur, as well as "stream error" but the data did still pre-fill. Can you please check and see if it does in fact pre-fill.

Regarding 'Pre-fill Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object',
After investigation, it has been identified as a known issue affecting some 2021 returns and has been escalated to Developers for further investigation.
The workaround for such Pre-Fill Errors is to manually fill the Tax Return until a fix is released.

I loaded an update or hotfix a couple of weeks ago. Is there another one since? I haven't had any email notification?
Unfortunately, there are few users who are experiencing these issues.
The Product Development team is currently investigating the issue as a high priority.
