Rules replaces bank description

There is already a closed subject Under the Essentials area, with this exact issue we are experiencing however the final comment didn't really tell us much on how to resolve it - just that it was an AO issue and would be referred onto them.

So without reinventing the wheel - here's the issue:

When exporting transactions from Essentials into AO, the descriptions of the transactions seem to be replaced with the Rule Names from when they were automatically allocated.

This is extremely frustrating when completing Financial Statements.

Help!

As the data is coming from MYOB Essentials just thought I would test that process for you. I can confirm that with the original MYOB Essentials platform it does appear that the rule name is replacing the allocation line of those transactions with the rule name.

A potential workaround to resolve this one, which I do appreciate may not be feasible for everyone and in all situations, would be to open the exported file in Notepad. Within Notepad, use the Find function to find all cases of that rule name before making it the bank description (should be the line below).

It's worth pointing out that this situation doesn't occur in the new MYOB Essentials platform, which users of the original MYOB Essentials platform will be migrated to later this year.
