Select associated accounts for Bank Feeds

Question

I am having problems completing set up of bank feeds for a Log Term Loan account, the bank feed is ready however I can't enter or select the associated account 2-2400 against the bank account. The accounts in the dropdown are current assets or credit cards.

I have read that only account type Bank and Credit Cards can be associated, if this is the case what is the solution for other types. If I open a new account and classify it as Bank it will be incorrectly classified in the Balance Sheet. This is not acceptable.

You are correct that only accounts with the 'Bank' or 'Credit Card' account types can be associated with bank feeds. The 'Bank' type is for 1- asset accounts only, while 'Credit Card' is for 2- liability accounts only, so if you change the 2-2400 account's type to Credit Card it then can be linked to bank feeds.

I would suggest double checking with your accountant if you have any concerns about changing the account type in your business set up. I hope this helps.
