Can some one please explain why both my gst collected and gst paid are both in the negative (always!!) giving the bad advice that I am due to get a refund which is definitely not the case.

This can be tricky. When both GST collected and GST paid are consistently negative in MYOB, it usually indicates incorrect transaction entries. Ensure GST collected is positive and GST paid is negative. Review entries for correct categorization, verify tax codes, and reconcile accounts.
