Viewing transactions within an account in the chart of accounts.

Hi there,

I am using the Business Lite Myob.

I’m trying to view all the transactions that I have posted within a certain account that obviously makes up one of the many accounts within the chart of accounts.

Can anyone please tell me how I can do this as with my previous MYOB package before I transferred over to the online MYOB Business Lite I could really easily do this by just going into my chart of accounts and highlight the required account and look at all the transactions entered in that account and print it?

Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • HI Graeme
Under banking option, select find transactions
Select category to choose the chart of accounts and the date range of transactions
    Hope this is of help

  • Hi Chris. Thanks for your interest and time with going to the effort of replying. In my MYOB Business Lite my chart of accounts is under my Accounting tab not my Banking as you have indicated? Anyway once I do go into my chart of accounts it will come up with a list of all my accounts. Once I select the account I want to look at it has no where to either highlight a date range let alone allow me to go into that account to see what transactions have been recorded for any period. My MYOB that I had before going online did this very easy. Any ideas why? Thanks again.

Yes that is right Graeme and from there select your chart of accounts (category), see below example

  • Hi Chris. Thanks again for your help. I have finally found it. I feel really silly but I need to print this off for my accountant but I can’t see the printer icon to do this? I’m sorry for asking such a stupid question as this. Thanks again.

  • No question is stupid Graeme, pleased you were able to resolve your issue.
Find transactions is a view only, so recommend running the general ledger report for this category and period to print details required for your accountant.

  • Thanks Chris. This worked so thank you so very much. Really appreciate your assistance.
