GST Reports

I have recently moved-over to the browser version of MYOB.  The GST reports contain reconciled and unreconciled transactions.  Therefore, I have to go through the reports and delete double entries, incorrect entries etc.  I find this very tedious.  So I wanted to ask if there is any way I can print the GST report with the recconciled transactions only?.

    Hi, Rob799

    Thanks for your post.

In MYOB Business, account balances in the Balance sheet are only made up of reconciled transactions, or transactions that have been entered manually. This change is to ensure that account balances are based on transactions that have been checked for accuracy. You can view or edit the details of a particular transaction by clicking on its reference number to open the original transaction in a new browser tab.

If you need to print the report, when viewing a report, click 'View and print' to display the report as a PDF in a new browser tab, where you can save or print it.

    Hi Doreen,

I have noted the balance sheet contains reconciled transactions.  How about the "GST detailed" report?  If you print the "GST detailed" report, it includes all transactions that have been entered into MYOB.  That is, whether it has been reconciled or not it is included in the "GST dertailed" report.  Therefore, the "GST Collected" and "GST Paid" information will include transactions that could be double entries and transactions that are erroneous.

So my question is, is there a way to print the "GST Detailed" report with only the reconciled transactions ?  So the GST information are only from actual reconciled transactions.

    Hi, Rob799

Currently the report it not designed to filter out the reconciled transactions from the unreconciled transactions. A good workaround to this would be to reconcile your accounts up to a certain date and run the GST report for the same dates only.

Please feel free to reach out if you require further assistance.
