Importing into Custom List fields in AR

I'm trying to import into a ' Custom List Field ' to store our clients intentory listings.  Problem seems to be that the list is acting as a bouncer during the import and won't let the data in unless it's already on the list. and there doesn't seem to be a quick way to update the list, other than individually entering the items one at a time.  Anyone know a quick way to update this?

    Hi brunob

Thank you so much for your post. Can you please confirm if you received an error message? If so, can you attache a screenshot of the error message that you're getting.

    Regards,
    Earl

    Thanks for your reply Earl,

I didn't keep the error code on record but the issue was the fact that we were importing into a "List Field" and the list wasn't filled with the items we wanted to import.  There was no easy way to import them other than to add the over 600 odd items to the list. cut, click, paste, (rinse and repeat) style. (eye roll) it was painful but also a great lesson on making sure you choose your custom fields wisely.  Though to be fair we didn't have all the information we needed at the time of choosing the list field, we thought it would be a smaller list.

    Cheers

    Terry.
