I would like to run a Purchase Report for a particular Job that shows ALL purchases relating to that Job. By that, I mean purchases that have been paid via an invoice and purchases that have been made via "Spend Money" etc. How can you do this? I looked at the Job Activity Detail report, but this is a bit messy as you have to extract the relevant information from this and it's time consuming.
Is there a quick and simple way to do a purchase report for Job?

Have you tried running this report
Purchases , supplier detail
go to advanced filters and to insert /modify - show/hide , select to show job name
then run that report

Thanks for that. That one only shows purchases for supplier payments made via invoices (pay bills). That's exactly what I am after, but for purchases from supplies (pay bills) AND purchases made through spend money.

What about running the gl detail report ( accounts tab) and doing the same thing insert /modify show job name
You could deselect the bank and creditors accounts and just get expenses and cost of goods accounts

the only other thing I can suggest is
Would changing the sort order in the job activity report help extract the information that you want?

That would be ok to use, but when I run that report, I did show/hide Job Name, Job No. and Job Description and no jobs come up at all?? All my entries are attached to a job.

do the columns appear across the top of the report?
and if they do then there is no info?

Try changing to Landscape , the columns may be hidden

The headings show, but no information is underneath. I even added "allocation memo" and again, the heading shows, but no information. This happens in portrait and landscape. Had it worked and shown the job, I think that could have been useful.

I just googled this because it's becoming frustrating and found the following, as someone else had the same problem ........As the Pay from Account transactional line is not associated with the job that job value will not appear in the report.
It's a pity because that GL report you suggested would have been good. I guess I'll have to stick with the Job Activity report. I think MYOB reports need to be reconfigured so that the job/s can be reported on more easily.

In the report I tried the jobs came up against the sales Invoices so perhaps it is the case with a spend money transaction that you cant get it
