Bank Link to the wrong bank account

Not sure if this is the right platform for seeking a solution, however I need help.

I have 2 bank accounts, a saving and the transaction accounts, account #1 for the transaction and account #3 for the savings.

Since the last reconciliation the accounts has swap, the transaction has linked to #3 and the savings to #1.

I have delink and re-link but nothing change.

What do I do? Please help.

  • Hi Fetuani,

I understand how confusing it gets when your two bank accounts get swapped. If you already corrected this in the "manage bank accounts"window, the bank feeds are supposed to transfer over to the right bank accounts. However, if you already recorded transactions against those bank feeds before correcting them, you may need to delete and re-record those transactions to the right account.

Let us know if you need any further help with this.

    Thanks,
    Genreve

    Hi Fetuani,

This can be quite tricky. To fix this, you can delete all the recorded transactions and then redo them in the correct accounts.

    I hope this helps!

    Earl

Earl, so I need to manually delete all the bank feed transcations on MYOB from both bank link accounts and then re-load them manually on the correct bank account.

Is this mean I need to de-activate the bank link as well.

    Please confirm.

    Hi Fetuani,

There’s no need to deactivate; you’ll just need to delete the transactions.

    Regards,
    Earl
