GST Filing

Hi there,

I tried to adjust the debit adjustment figure while filing GST, but it seems the new version has changed that. The transaction was from the previous GST period and cannot be included in the current GST filing.

Any idea where I can change the amount by using MYOB filing rather than manually file it in MYIR.

Thank you.

  • Hi zero77,

Thanks for sharing that feedback! It would be super handy to have a feature like that for adjusting directly in the software without needing to go through the IRD. If you think adding a feature like this would make things easier moving forward, you’re welcome to suggest it directly to our developers by posting on our ideas board! This is where we gather customer suggestions for consideration in future updates. We'd love to hear your thoughts there!

    Cheers,

    Shella

    Hi zero77,

If a GST return was filed incorrectly, it can’t be adjusted or resubmitted directly from the MYOB software. Once it’s filed, any changes or corrections need to go through the IRD. You’ll have to contact them to reverse the return. From there, the adjustments can only be made in your myIR portal. Just a heads up, if the changes are done through myIR, they won’t show up in MYOB. You’ll need to log into your myIR portal to view those returns. I know it’s not ideal, but the myIR portal is your go-to for fixing things like this.

    Regards,

    Shella
