Hi there, I'm interested to know how you deal with STP YTD when changing payroll software to MYOB advanced during a payroll year? Do you bring in a big pay for YTD, then zero YTD in the old software, or do you just start with zero in MYOB Advanced? if you start with zero, do you do anything about the YTD on payslips or just leave it to start with zero too? Thanks in advance.
This is our bigest bug bare.
As all YTD is report as STP. If you bring in opening balances, the client has to zero out their old payroll balances and send updates to the ATO. Generally this will require them to enter negative pay for all pay items that have been used for each staff member. I have only come across EXO payroll with the ability to clear YTD for STP. Account Right you cant.
We have had to take to the line of no opening balances for pays. Some client though have been adement that their payslips should show the full year to date and not only the new Advanced portion.
