STP batch status - automatic update - recommendation

STP batch status: We implemented an automation schedule so that clients don't have to manually update the status of their STP batches, which is set to run each night. We recently noticed that quite a few sites have this automation schedule inactive. The risk is that an STP batch is actually unsuccessful and the cause is not being fixed. We recommend that you check this schedule, and re-set it to active for all your live sites/tenants where STP is enabled. Here are the details:

Automation Schedules SM205020, schedule is called “Check submission status”.

After any database change (e.g. upgrade or db restore), go to Automation Schedule Statuses SM205030 and select the action 'Initialize Scheduler' to re-start the scheduler function

    An update and an apology - we have learnt that this feature requires the hidden processing screen to be included in the site map so that the process is included in the list of Automation Schedule Statuses, and therefore is covered by the 'Initialize Scheduler' action. This is resolved in our upcoming 2020.4 release.

    If you want to get the benefit of this now, you can manually add the hidden screen MP.PP.50.26 (url: ~/Pages/MP/PP/MPPP5026.aspx) to the site map yourself - we recommend not populating the Workspaces or Category fields so that it doesn't appear on users' menus.
