This is an issue we are aware of and has been reported by several people.
Currently we do not have a fix for it. As a work around you can restart AE during breaks and restart the server on a daily basis.

Thank you for the reply. I can not impress how frustrating it is and with all respect the 'work around' is not practical or satisfactory. MYOB really need to invest in fixing this
