Rejected tax return CMN.ATO.IITR.7300097

Hi, we use MYOB AO. I have had a tax return rejected with the error code CMN.ATO.IITR.730097. It says in the summary Other Foreign source income amount is incorrect. and details the other foreign source income amount must equal the sum of all other foreign income gross amount less all related other foreign income deductable expenses provided in the attached income details schedule.

I cannot work out what is wrong. The figures in the tax return match the Managed fund amounts against the tax return label.

I have received the rejected error CMN.ATO.IITR730097 on a tax return.

Summary: Other foreign source income amount is incorrect.

Detail: The other foreign source income amount must equal the sum of all other foreign income gross amount less all related other foreign income deductable expenses provided in the attached income details schedule.

I do not understand. The return matches the managed fund amounts against the tax return labels supplied.

    • I had same error, with a managed fund distribution and single overseas dividend.

      Can't find a solution.

        Hello JennyJ and TimmyG

        Thank you for your post.

To answer your question, this has been raised as an issue within our software and investigation with regards to this is already in the works.

Just to give you further insight about this, the rejection happens where you have foreign income entered in the DIM (distributions received from managed funds) schedule. We are looking at the cause of why the integration from DIM schedule to the foreign income (item 20) is an issue.

At the moment, there is no workaround until a fix has been released. Please keep a lookout for our eBullition notices for updates and releases.

We are working to resolve this issue in the future release and we do apologize for any inconvenience.

        Regards,
