2025.1 Importing Payroll Journals Problem

N Z user since 2002....local data files.

Since updating A/R Premier to 2025.1.0 a few days ago I am getting "Warning 576: Job Number is not specified" code when I import the transaction journals from Payroll. Is there are fix or do I need to wait until Payroll updates for the new financial year coming up soon for N Z?

I seem to recall this happening to me once before and thought I had posted about it but I can't find all of my older posts.

I have a feeling I just entered them manually in A/R Premier for some weeks until the next Payroll update came out.

Regards

Jannette

    Hi Doreen

Your comment beginning with "Ensure..." is not what works for me. Its the other way around. You actually have to uncheck the box so that the feature is disabled rather than enabled. This means system wide we don't get a warning up if any jobs are missed when we're processing anything and everything on a daily basis. Compared with Payroll weekly. Pretty extraordinary and not ideal but fixes the journals import problem.

The other solution doesn't pertain as my import sheet is in TAB delimited not an Excel spreadsheet and the link form the CF I'd alrady read and had nothing to offer on the problem I was having.

This time I will snip this reply and save it on my computer for future reference.  That way I'll have it at least.

    Hi Trandy,

The "Warning 576: Job Number is not specified" message may appear if job codes aren't recognised during import. Here's what you can do:

    • Ensure "Warn if jobs are not assigned to all transactions" is enabled under Setup > Preferences > System.
    • Check your import file— format the Job field cells as "General" in Excel to make sure they're imported correctly.

    Cheers,
