Hi Jshar,
That error usually means one row or value in the file isn’t matching the general journal import format. A little import check should help track down the culprit. A few things to check:
- Download a fresh general journal template from Settings > Import and export data, and keep the headings and column order unchanged.
- Check the skipped row against the general journal import fields. Account numbers must already exist in MYOB, Is Credit must be Y or N, and amounts and tax amounts should be numeric with no currency symbols or commas. If there’s no tax, enter 0 in the tax amount field.
- Make sure dates follow your system’s date format and that there’s a blank line between each journal record, as shown in Import options.
To pinpoint the problem, try importing just the skipped journal in a fresh template. If it imports successfully, add the remaining journals back in small batches. For more on templates, see Importing and exporting data. If it’s still being skipped, please reach out to our support via Contact Us page to help with this.
Cheers,
Doreen
