has anyone successfully added an AMEX credit card as an account for tracking expenses using MYOB SOLO. I understand how to add an account, but within the section where you need to chose your bank, there is no option to select AMEX.
As AMEX is not a bank & the credit card was sourced directly from AMEX I am unsure how to move forward. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

You’re spot on, Amex doesn’t show up as an option for Connected Accounts, and there’s a reason for that. As far as I can tell, Aussie banks no longer issue Amex cards, and since Solo uses the Open Banking protocol for connecting accounts, there’s no way (yet!) to link cards issued directly by Amex.
For now, your best workaround is to manually record your Amex expenses using the Capture expense functionality. It’s not quite as slick as a live Open Banking feed, but it’ll still keep your records tidy.
Unfortunately, without Open Banking support on Amex’s side, there’s no way for Solo (or any other app like it) to connect. If you’d like to see that change, we highly recommend dropping Amex a line and asking if they have plans to support Open Banking in Australia.
