Thanks for reaching out. Solo’s reporting is based on a cash basis, rather than an accrual basis. This means transactions are included based on when the money actually moves in or out, rather than when an invoice is raised or recorded.
Solo also doesn’t have a dedicated opening balance section. The balances shown in the Transaction List Report are calculated from the money coming in and going out of the file, so this can sometimes catch people out when comparing the report with their bank statement.
The transaction dates can also differ from your bank statement depending on when the transaction was received by Solo’s bank feed.
That said, we might need to take a deeper dive into your file to work out exactly what’s happening with the opening balance and transaction dates.
