Adding spend/receive money to drop down list for bank account already categorised as "Bank"

Hi All,

I would like guidance on how to add the bank account (already categorised as "Bank") onto the dropdown list of Spend Money/Receive Payment as by default, the account should have appeared under the list, but it didn't.

 

Kindly assist.

    Hey slyong​,

     

    First, have a quick look at whether the account has been marked Inactive by chance. You can check this by going to:

     

    • Categories Chart of accounts.
    • Opening the bank account, and seeing if the Inactive Account option is ticked.

    The other common reason is that the account might be set up as a Header account, which is used only for reporting and structuring and can’t have transactions posted to it. You can confirm this in the same screen by checking the Account category, as only Detail accounts will show in transaction lists. Also, here's a link on how to add an account.
