I am also trying to use the Browser version more now instead of the Desktop. The above seems a very clunky and time consuming way to deal with credit card transactions. It's easy and quick on the Desktop version to create a Bank Deposit highlighting the transactions to include. Is there an alternative recommended method to deal with credit card transactions on the Browser that is less clunky than the above suggestion?

You’re right that MYOB Business in the browser doesn’t have a Prepare Bank Deposit option, so there isn’t a like-for-like step to select receipts first.
For payments made through MYOB Online Payments, the settlement deposit is created automatically and matched to the bank feed. Here’s how online payment matching works.
For other card receipts, when the lump-sum deposit appears under Bank transactions, choose to match it and select all the sales transactions that make up that amount. The software will allocate the bank feed across those transactions, without a separate bank deposit. Here’s more about matching a bank feed to multiple transactions.
