can I open an accountedge7 file using MYPB business Lite?

I have old MYOB software - Account Edge 7, and have my 2023 tax return in that file. I need to finish inputting a few things and submit it to my accountant, but I am a mac user and can't access the file. If I purchase Business Lite, will I have access to my old file?

    I understand your concern about the loss of category tracking on the MYOB Business platform. You are correct in your understanding. While transactions are indeed migrated to the MYOB Business platform, it's important to note that this will not include the category tracking code. This is because the category tracking feature is not currently available on the MYOB Business platform. Therefore, while all other data is migrated as is, the category information will not be transferred. I hope this clarifies your query.

    My apologies for the delayed response. From my understanding, you can migrate your data from Account Edge to MYOB Business Lite or Pro. Specifically, if the old product used the following format: myox, myo, dat, or prm. However, there are some limitations. If you have used the multi-currency function in Account Edge, regrettably, your data cannot be migrated as this feature is currently not available in MYOB Business Lite or Pro. Also, MYOB Business Lite or Pro currently does not feature category tracking, so if you used this function in Account Edge, this category information will not be migrated. To proceed with the migration, you will need a new MYOB Business Lite or Pro subscription with no data file, and our migration team services will move your business online.

      The loss of Category Tracking that you mention is a worry if that means all my expense and income accounts codings for each transaction are not transferred... Am I understanding you correctly?
