Reporting foreign employment income (which is NOT exempt foreign income)

Hi,

I have an employee who worked in a foreign country for a while, whilst was paid in Australia.

Has MYOB created an ATO reporting category for foreign employment income (which is NOT exempt foreign income)?

I can see the code for exempt foreign income. This is not exempt.

From previous posts, I can see that there was a request for this previously, but I still can't see it in payroll setup.

Thanks,

Richard

  • Hi RF_DSY,

Thank you so much for your post and welcome to the Community Forum!

My apologies for the late response. Currently, MYOB's software did not offer a dedicated ATO reporting category for foreign employment income. In this situation, I would strongly suggest seeking guidance from a qualified tax professional or accountant who possesses expertise in Australian tax laws. They can provide you with the most precise and current advice tailored to your unique requirements. Tax regulations are subject to change, making it crucial to ensure your reporting remains in compliance with the latest standards.

    Warm regards,
    Earl
