Unscheduled Pay Run

Question

Hello, I am trying to process an Unscheduled Pay Run on MYOB Business Payroll Only in NZ and it does not give the "Unscheduled" option under the drop-down menu (it only offers Regular Pay Cycles). How can I fix this? - I need to process a one-off payment to a Casual employee today!Thanks,Jenny

Hi Jenny20,It's quite unusual that you're encountering this issue. I recommend unticking the employees who do not need to be paid and ticking only the employees that need to receive payment.&nbsp;
To record an unscheduled pay run in MYOB Business (New Zealand), go to the "Create" menu and select "Pay run." Choose "Unscheduled" as the pay cycle, select the employee(s), and enter the relevant hours or amounts against the correct pay items. You can also visit the help page for more information. Hello Earl, There are no employees to untick at this stage - first you must select the Pay Cycle option before proceeding.&nbsp;

Hi Jenny20,The pay cycle will depend on the employee's regular pay cycle. If the pay cycle does not match the employee's regular pay cycle, the payment will not appear in the next window. Additionally, If it's a one-off payment, you will follow the same process as a regular pay run. You need to unselect the other employees (please see the attached image).&nbsp;Regards,Earl

Thank you Earl. I have since spoken to Support on the phone and have a work around for the problem. I have been advised that the software will be upgraded with the next software release to include the option of an Unscheduled pay cycle in the drop down menu for "Pay Cycle".Jenny
