Edit/delete a pay run

Hi, is it possible to edit or delete and redo a pay run?  We have a staff member who did not have any annual leave, but we did pay it in advance.  They have now asked if they can take leave without pay instead of annual leave in advance.  Is this possible?

  • Hi EWL,

You’re right , if the pay is included in a processed electronic payment, you won’t be able to delete it until that electronic payment is deleted. Once the electronic payment is removed, you can then go back and delete the individual pay, and re-enter it correctly. Changing or fixing electronic payments

    Hi EWL,

You can’t directly edit a pay once it’s processed, but you can delete that employee’s pay from the pay run and re-do it. In this case, remove the original pay with annual leave in advance, then reprocess it using leave without pay. More information here: Deleting a pay

If the pay was already filed with IRD, you’ll also need to amend or remove that submission in myIR so it matches the corrected pay.

    I hope this helps!

    Regards,
    Earl

Thanks for the help Earl.  I had a look at the Deleting a pay link, but it says you cannot delete if it is part of a processed electronic payment which it is.  If I delete the electronic payment will that mean I can then delete the pay run?
