GST return discrepancy

Why is my GST return total does not match with figures in the general ledger and gst detail report. the ledger and the details match but not the gst return report

    Hi Louie_kwj,

     

    Thanks for your post. Usually, the GST report lists all transactions recorded based on the tax code used, while the GST return shows the GST summary for activity statement purposes. We recommend double-checking the sales transactions recorded with your accountant to determine if a different tax code should be used or if they should be recorded as negative purchases so they can be reported in the activity statement.

      we are using both AR and the live version but the live one is different to the GST summary and all other reports matched.

      THE GST Return Report on Browser version and AccountRight are different but if you confirm the figures in the GL and GST details, they matched with the total on GST summary as per AR version

      GST summary on the browser version and AR version but the GL and GST details matched with what is on the  AR version image attached

    I am having the exact same issue. The GST GL report in the live version shows different GST Paid and GST received to the GST Detail report in AR (same period).
