How do I move items from Current Assets category to Non-current assets Do I have to change the account code of the particular items or can I show them under the different category some how

Hi epv0222,
You are right, it’s not really spelt out in the help articles, but the only way the software knows if something’s a current asset (or not) is when you change the category type in the account code itself.
If you want to dig in a bit more, have a look at “Categories (Chart of accounts)”, should give you a good idea of how it all shows up in your business reports.
