Client already linked

Hello

I am trying to link a client name to an Essentials File in the Partner Dashboard - I search for the name and attempt the link and receive the message - Client already linked - however there is no client name linked to that file - how do I unlink the client name from what it is linked to?

    We Generally get this message about client already linked, as the client has previously had a datafile or ledger that they were linked to.

    Our filters can sometimes hide this from us. 

    So we can check our filters to ensure it is on all staff, and include all expired and Cancelled Clients

    You can also Search for that client under Contacts and check what displays in the Transaction processing brick:

    if you see the following:

    it means you no longer have access the client was linked to.

    So may need someone who does to give you access again or

    you can phone the support team
