Error when changing Account Type from Credit Card to Other Liability

I need to change the account type on an account from credit card to other liability. It was only set up today. When I try to do this it comes up with an error: You have cheques or deposits for this account on your files. However I have deleted the entry that was associated with this account and the current balance is $0, with no transactions showing in the Find Transactions window for this account. Any idea what I might be missing? Thanks.

    Welcome to the Community Forum!

     

    Once you have recorded transactions against an account, you won't be able to edit the account type even if you have deleted the transaction. Therefore, you would have to inactivate this account and create a new account with the correct details.
