MyTrucking: Integration with Third Party App

Amongst other things, our business runs a number of trucks and we have recently joined MyTrucking to facilitate management of jobs etc.  MyTrucking integrates with MYOB for invoicing jobs when they are completed and apparently sends data through to MYOB for Accounts to pickup and finalise prior to sending out invoices.

We are struggling with a number of issues with generation of invoices, namely:

  1. Where to find jobs/deliveries when sent through to MYOB for invoicing?
  2. invoice template - when manually creating bills through MYOB we use a specific template.  MyTrucking has picked up a generic template which is not populated with any of our business info. MyTrucking say they cannot control which template is used and we need to create a new one? But which one would be picked up by MYOB when invoices are generated??

Is there a cheat sheet somewhere to help us use this App from within MYOB?

    Hi AEH2

Thanks for giving us some insight into your business.

MyTrucking handles the jobs and sends the invoice through to MYOB once the job has been checked and posted.

If you’re using MYOB Business, you should find the invoice under Sales > Invoices. The integration creates Item invoices, rather than Service invoices, so the invoice template needs to match that type.

For the generic template, we’re not MyTrucking specialists, so we can’t confirm exactly how their integration chooses the form. If you’re using AccountRight, it generally uses the form set on the customer’s card. If no form is set, it may use the standard Plain Paper Invoice.

It’s best to check with MyTrucking whether their integration sends a specific MYOB template or uses MYOB’s default. Their team can also contact our Integration Support team if they need help.

    Regards,
